What we're looking for

🔭 Imaginario AI (Techstars ‘22) is looking for a visionary, experienced and deeply curious Founding Full Stack Developer to join our highly skilled engineering team. The role can eventually transition into the Head of Engineering as we grow in the next 18 months.

Responsabilities

• The driving force behind the platform development cycle including requirements analysis, architecture, design, coding, testing, delivery and maintenance of solutions
• Helping us decide which development framework, tools and back-end infrastructure are best suited for Imaginario, defining the best coding practices and sharing them with teammates
• Help build, hire and manage a newly formed software engineering team
• Working with our CTO to jointly define our long-term technical vision and push our AI models into production
• Working closely with the co-founders and the product lead to translate product features into frameworks and algorithms by prioritising them and shipping them in line with the agreed product roadmap

Further responsabilities

• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Write effective APIs
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing and responsive visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Write technical documentation
• Work with data scientists and analysts to improve software

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role
• Very high development standards for code quality, review, deployment and troubleshooting
• Back-end and front-end development proficiency
• Programming languages and frameworks: Python, Django, Flask, React, Javascript, HTML, CSS
• Experience deploying web apps on AWS, GCP, etc.
• Experience with containerisation and container orchestration (Docker or Kubernetes)
• Great attention to detail
• Organisational skills and thrive in a fast-paced startup environment
• An analytical mind
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Knowledge of media technologies, video streaming, playback, recording and/or editing software is a major plus
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications is a major plus
• Knowledge of UI/UX is a major plus
• Knowledge of security is a major plus
• Previous experience in a startup environment is also valuable
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or relevant field (minimum)
