Job description:
In the role of Mechanical Engineer, you will be solving complex transmission and driveline solutions at component and system level by design and/or analysis and simulation methods. With your experience in design and / or simulation of precision rotating components, structural components and complete systems, you will use high levels of initiative and attention to detail whilst managing yourself and others to tight deadlines. The position is located in the Tunis Area with the flexibility for some work from home.

Availability: Office Full-Time
Responsibilities:
- Utilizing state of the art simulation techniques and design tools to design, develop and prototype transmission, driveline and actuation systems
- Helping to combine and develop new techniques and analysis methods for use within the company
- Responsible for the delivery of technical work packages and whole projects
- Applying your existing experience in specifying materials, processes and design applicable for the function of the components
- Engineering through design tools, calculations, analysis, simulation, drawings and technical reporting
- Supporting technical capability initiatives within the Mechanical Engineering function
- Taking responsibility for your own continual development
- Working collaboratively with colleagues, clients, stakeholders and contributing to the team ethic at work
- Communicating actively and effectively internally and externally
- Exhibiting a passion for learning and facing new challenges
- Adapting to the needs of a growing and developing business
Requirements:
- Degree or higher in mechanical engineering or related discipline
- Proven experience of automotive transmission design and/or analysis and simulation experience
- High standard of competency in design and/or CAE analysis of transmission and driveline systems
- A track record of innovation to benefit the outcome of powertrain projects
- Successfully managed small to medium sized projects both technically and commercially
- Proficiency in some of the key software packages within drivetrain engineering (SMT MASTA, Romax, Creo, NX, Catia, MATLAB, Ansys)
- A strong understanding of the fundamental principles of mechanical engineering and experience in applying them to solve complex problems
Academic level:
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering.
- Engineer degree in a relevant field.
- Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
