Job description:

We are looking for a talented Release Engineer to join our team at MAVAR Dynamics and contribute to the design, development of future transmission and driveline systems. The position is in the Tunis Area with flexibility for some work from home.

Availability: Office Full-Time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document, and maintain dimensional requirements for components and assemblies, including datum schemes, tolerances, and measurement points.
  • Create dimensional requirements for source packages.
  • Perform 1D stack-up studies to validate tolerances, support root cause investigations, validate vehicle designs, locating schemes, and process alternatives, with the goal of managing dimensional variation.
  • Conduct 3D Variation Analysis process studies, including upfront processing strategies and review of completed models for accuracy and application development.
  • Apply, review, and approve GD&T, dimensional specifications, and engineering drawings.
  • Coordinate and schedule inspections, analysis, testing, documentation, and record keeping in accordance with applicable standards.
  • Provide measurement and testing support to engineering teams for automotive components and assemblies.
  • Recommend appropriate gauging methods and identify root causes of gauge and tooling repeatability issues.
  • Support Gauge/Checking Fixture reviews, buyoffs, and Gauge R&R processes.
  • Validate product and process designs, assembly concepts, and geometric requirements within the assigned scope, including Quality Assurance Fixture management.
  •  Analyze dimensional and build data to identify and resolve quality and manufacturing issues.
  • Report component and assembly quality concerns and drive corrective actions.
  • Participate in cross-functional issue resolution between design, manufacturing, and part conformity teams.
  • Conduct analyses, identify quality optimization solutions, define action plans, and facilitate communication to achieve BCI KPI targets.
  • Drive quality improvements through innovation and lessons learned from previous programs.
  • Support product release deadlines and launch activities.
  • Interface with suppliers to address dimensional and quality requirements.
  • Support interior and exterior systems validation, root cause analysis, and production launch activities.
  • Participate in the development of geometric monitoring plans for assembly lines.
  • Lead geometric quality convergence activities during the industrialization phase prior to volume production.
  • Support and implement PHES Dimensional Control Processes.
  • Ensure dimensional standards, methodologies, and best practices are understood and consistently applied across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier organizations.
  • Create, maintain, and continuously improve the dimensional engineering best-practices library.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to ensure dimensional integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Facilitate communication and alignment across stakeholders to support successful product development and production readiness.
  • Drive resolution of geometric and dimensional concerns through structured problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and documentation.
  • Ability to apply, understand, create, and interpret GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 standard.
  • Dimensional/tolerancing experience.
  • Ability to perform 1D stack analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform 1D and 2D dimensional stack studies.
  • Ability to create 3D Tolerance Analysis models and drive design solutions.
  • Familiarity with design and engineering standards (ASME, ISO, AIAG, etc.).
  • Familiarity with gaging, metrology equipment, and measurement tools for root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of basic statistics and process control.
  • Familiarity with statistical process control concepts such as Cp/Cpk and Pp/Ppk.
  • Familiarity with quality control concepts, control plans, statistics, and measurement systems.
  • Root Cause Analysis methods.
  • Understanding of vehicle design, assembly processes, and process control.
  • CAD skills preferred (CATIA, NX, and Teamcenter).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High level of proficiency in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Strong desire to learn and proactively seek opportunities to gain experience.

Academic level:

  • Master's degree in a relevant field, such as Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
  • Engineer degree in a relevant field.
  • Doctorate degree in a relevant field.
