Who we are:

Tanit AI was born from a simple but alarming reality: one in six people worldwide is affected by infertility. Our mission is to equip healthcare professionals with the tools to better diagnose and treat infertility, while supporting individuals and couples throughout their parenthood journey—with the goal of improving success rates and reducing the overall “time to pregnancy.”

We are building an AI medical device powered by a neuro-symbolic sovereign AI approach. This allows us to combine predictive AI models with the explainability, traceability, and clinical transparency of structured symbolic medical knowledge, so that doctors can make sound decision based on high-performing and trustworthy in real-world clinical practice recommendations.

Job description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal AI Engineer to join our team at Tanit Healthcare Technologies and lead the development of innovative AI-driven solutions for fertility care.

Type of Contract: Permanent job

Availability: Hybrid working

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop cutting-edge AI solutions for fertility care, leveraging expertise in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
• Lead the development of Knowledge Graph and Ontologies-based systems for fertility assessment and reproductive medicine.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI-driven technology with compassionate, personalized support.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices to ensure secure and efficient software development.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in AI engineering, with a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and NLP.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in developing AI-driven solutions for healthcare or related industries.
• Expertise in frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch, as well as experience with fine-tuning Large Language Models (LLMs).
• Strong understanding of neuro-symbolic AI, Knowledge Graph, and Ontologies.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead complex projects and drive results.
• Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile product lifecycle management.
• Strong leadership and technical skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

Academic level:

• Engineer degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Doctorate degree in Computer Science or related field.
