Overview:

We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer / Cloud System Administrator who has deep, technical, hands-on experience helping clients manage cloud computing to transform their businesses. The DevOps engineer will be responsible for architecting and implementing cloud infrastructure, providing support and, monitoring and administrating our clients’ live cloud application servers. The position requires a full proficiency in Linux System Administration, XenServer virtualization, AWS and DigitalOcean.

Requirements:

- Excellent understanding of Linux OS and its command line admin tools (CentOS 6 and 7)

- Solid experience in cloud infrastructures (OVH, AWS, DigitalOcean) and working knowledge of web based application development and hosting (PHP, ReactJS stack)

- Strong shell scripting and programming skills for systems administration purposes

- Experience with large scale monitoring and reporting tools (e.g. New Relic, AppNeta) and configuration management system (e.g. Docker, Puppet, Chef)

- Solid knowledge of networking principles and protocols

- Solid knowledge of database administration

- Experience with key programming languages and technologies, including JavaScript, React, PHP, MongoDB, MySQL, Redis, RabbitMQ, Wowza, JWPlayer

Candidate:

3+ years of experience as a system administrator in a professional environment
Experience with system configuration, management, virtualization and XenServer
Ability to provide third line application support to our customer support teams
Ability to work collaboratively with the development team
Should be able to recommend and implement security protocols, and identify and eradiate application and infrastructure single points of failure
Should be independent, self-reliant and a fast learner
Must be fluent in English (written and verbal)
