With the development of our new software, we are pursuing the goal of providing users with highly simplified, intuitive, and graphic supported application. In particular, the inspection sequences and feature configuration are, due to graphic supported workflows, automated. Another special feature is the simple integration into heterogeneous industrial automation environments.
The system and software architecture are extremely flexible, future-proof and allows scaling from a stand-alone installation to centralized control center. The software is developed as a service-oriented architecture (SOA). For client-server communication WCF is used. The layer concept enables the reduction of dependencies (dependency injection) of the different tasks (separation of concerns). The entities are exchanged with the database via object-relational mapping (ORM) and processed using the CRUD methods. Through the consistent use of the MVVM pattern, we avoid code-behind. The user interface of the application is realized using the PRISM framework as a "Composite Application UI".
