As an Venture Capital Analyst Intern, you will be part of an international, diverse and highly dynamic team, working for the Cathay AfricInvest Innovation (“CAI”) fund. The CAI Fund is multi-sector, multi-geography focused on growing innovative companies in Africa, with the aim of creating African new unicorns and gazelles in Fintech, AI/software, eHealth, Edutech, CleanTech, Retail and Logistics industries.
Working in a small team with strong entrepreneurial spirit, you will be involved in:
- Selection, screening and analysis of new investment opportunities;
- Supporting the team throughout the entire investment process;
- Assisting the team in monitoring existing portfolio companies;
- Fundraising activities;
- Conducting market research on African countries within the investment universe and specifically on innovative sectors in Africa.
We are looking for:
- Master student/Bachelor graduates from various disciplines (Business/Finance/Engineering);
- Strong analytical skills, autonomous and flexible;
- Passionate about the African investment landscape;
- Previous experience in the financial sector and/or a PE/VC fund is a plus;
- Previous experience in Africa is a plus.
The intern will receive a stipend during the internship program.
